Nigerian rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide, has revealed that despite his wealth and global fame, he will never give up his love for Garri Ijebu, a popular cassava flakes dish.
The star made the confession during an appearance on the audio-visual podcast Ada’s Room, where he shared personal insights into his lifestyle and career.
Olamide, who recently shut down London’s 12,500-capacity OVO Arena and shared the stage with artists like Seyi Vibez and Asake, spoke candidly about his simple pleasures. Olamide explained that he enjoys Garri Ijebu with cold water, often accompanied by peanuts, calling it a lifelong staple he cannot part with.
Addressing perceptions of his personality, Olamide clarified that he is not shy, as some fans have suggested. Instead, he said, he takes a laid-back approach to give upcoming artists room to grow in the competitive Nigerian music industry.
On his craft, the Billionaire Club hitmaker emphasized his commitment to creating music with longevity, aiming to produce songs that he will love as much in ten years as his fans do today.
