Former Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly set to complete his move to Monaco as he returns to competitive football following a doping suspension.
Several reports in the media have indicated that Paul Pogba is expected to cut short his summer trip for a transfer to join AS Monaco. Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Pogba was provisionally suspended after being randomly tested following Juventus’ opening game of the 2023-24 season against Udinese.
The midfielder was issued four-year ban which was slashed to 18 months in October 2024 following an appeal. He was let free to recommence his career in March after reaching an agreement with Juventus to leave the Serie A club.
Why was Paul Pogba suspended from football?The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) in its statement confirmed Pogba inadvertently took DHEA, a substance which boosts testosterone and is on the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) banned list.
