Obi, who attended the burial on Friday in Imezi-Owa, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, said he travelled from Lagos to Enugu that morning to honour the late cultural icon, describing him as a man whose legacy “deeply influenced society through his outstanding contributions to culture and music.”
“In the quiet solemnity of that sacred moment, surrounded by his loved ones and a reverend father, we offered prayers at his graveside, commending his noble soul to the Almighty,” Obi wrote on his official X page.

He concluded his message with a prayer: “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.”
