Looking to possibly match the amount of retirement parties he had last year with the amount of titles he wins this year, our man Filthy Phil Nicoletti has been announced as a member of the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team for the 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship. Phil, you might remember, said he retired last year after the conclusion of the SMX World Championship, which led to a bunch of parties in Las Vegas, but then he dabbled in some WSX and then signed a deal to race in Canada this year. He then won the Canadian Triple Crown National Motocross Championship. Can Phil also win racing supercross in Australia? We don’t know. We do know Matthes wants the money back from those retirement parties last year.

Phil is not alone on the always-strong Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team, which is owned by former racer Craig Dack and is usually one of the title contenders in this championship. Mitchell Harrison, fresh off a rock-solid season with Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX Kawasaki, has also signed on with CDR. Harrison scored 16th in the 450 class of Monster Energy Supercross this year, 20th in Pro Motocross, and 21st in the SMX World Championship.

Aaron Tanti has been one of the fastest Australians still racing down under for awhile now. This is a pretty tough three-rider unit.
