Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad 2 is the latest addition to the brand’s growing tablet lineup. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the entry-level Redmi Pad from 2022. The upgrades between the two are subtle, with the new model getting a higher resolution (2560 x 1600px) IPS LCD, which now comes in at an 11-inch size and a faster 90Hz refresh rate. It’s also brighter, cranking out 600 nits max brightness and supports stylus input via the Redmi Smart Pen.

The other major change is the chipset. While the Pad 2 boasts the newer Helio G100 Ultra – it’s basically a repurposed Helio G99, which was used in the previous gen model. This means we should expect similar performance.

Redmi Pad 2 is available in Wi-Fi only and cellular trims, with both featuring 4/8GB RAM and 128/256GB onboard storage. You also get a microSD card slot, which can take up to 2TB memory cards. In terms of cameras, you get a 5MP front-facing shooter and an 8MP rear module.

The software side is handled by HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, while the battery now comes in at 9,000mAh (1,000 mAh more than the Redmi Pad) and supports 18W charging over USB-C.
