England international Reece James has reacted to Chelsea’s result against Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Blues captain was speaking after the game when he was asked about his opinion on the performance of his team. According to him, he was proud of the performance that the Blues showed despite going a man down in the first half.
He said,
“Everyone can see where we are and what we are fighting for. It was a big statement. Even though we wanted to win, there are lots of positives to take. I’m proud of the boys. It was electric here today”.
The head coach of Chelsea, Enzo Maresca also showered praises on his captain for his amazing performance against the Arsenal.
He said,
Reece James delivered a fantastic performance. Another 90 mins against Leeds? NO. It is a no, the reality is no. It was a great performance, but we need to manage Reece”
Chelsea have dropped to third place which is six points behind Arsenal and one point behind Manchester City. They face Leeds United in their next Premier League game and hope for maximum points as they continue to put pressure on Arsenal.
