Wizkid’s album ‘Morayo’ broke several Spotify records, but failed to reach the top 16 spots for two consecutive days, breaking Davido’s record from last year.
The Data Dash reports that Davido remains the only artist to hold the Top 16 spot on Spotify Nigeria’s Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days, following Wizkid’s failure to break his record.
Afrobeats artist Davido has conveyed his pride in maintaining his status as the sole musician to hold all top 16 positions on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days, despite the release of a new album by his peer, Wizkid.
According to GistLover, Wizkid’s latest album, ‘Morayo,’ has set multiple records on Spotify; however, tracks from this album did not manage to secure any of the top 16 positions on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days, a benchmark established by Davido’s ‘Timeless’ last year.
In light of Wizkid’s inability to surpass Davido’s achievement, the music analytics platform, The Data Dash, stated on X, “@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album ‘Timeless’.”
