@dailysunofficial MAX’S Lifestyle boss, Max Mqadi, is under fire after his remarks. The popular businessman from Umlazi, south of Durban, sparked anger when he remarked about his target market being the corporates, and he has no interest in those who merely come and go from his establishment. He said this on the Up Back Through Podcast, which upset many patrons who regularly visit his renowned venue, KwaMax, in Umlazi. The episode uploaded on YouTube on Saturday, 11 January, emerged on social media on Wednesday, 15 January. Angry patrons of his popular entertainment venue took to social media to express their outrage over his remarks. Speaking on the podcast, where there were also Lamontville Golden Arrows FC players invited, Max said his vision when he was building Max’s Lifestyle, was building it for corporates. “I know that in the long run, people will run short of money. I wanted the corporates to come and pay R160 000 for 600 people or pay R300 000 a week. “To those people who are coming and going, I don’t have an interest. You have a target market when you do the business,” he said. Daily Sun contacted Max to get clarity, but he didn’t answer the call the whole day on Thursday, 16 January. However, he rushed to Ukhozi FM to apologise. Speaking on Ukhozi FM, he apologised and admitted that he made a big mistake and asked Mzansi to forgive him. #DailySun #kwamaxlifestyle #meaculpa #Durban
