In 1962, a couple moves to Derry, Maine, with their son, only for bad things to start happening in the town.

Based on Stephen King’s It novel, this It film prequel was created by It series alums Andy and Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs and stars Taylour Paige (Zola), Jovan Adepo (Watchmen), Chris Chalk (The Newsroom), James Remar (Gotham) and Bill Skarsgård reprising the role of Pennywise the Clown.

The U.S. government races to determine who’s responsible for a single unattributed missile.

A House of Dynamite was directed by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) and features an ensemble cast that includes Idris Elba (Luther), Rebecca Ferguson (Dune series), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), Jared Harris (Chernobyl) and Tracy Letts (Homeland).

Nobody Wants This (Season 2) [Netflix Original]

Netflix Canada premiere date: Thursday, October 23

Genre: Romantic comedy

Runtime: Ten episodes (around 30 minutes each)

Joanne and Noah navigate the honeymoon phase of their relationship.

Nobody Wants This was created by Erin Foster (Gilmore Girls) and stars Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Adam Brody (The O.C.), Justine Lupe (Succession), Timothy Simons (Veep) and Jackie Tohn (Glow), with Vancouver’s Seth Rogen (The Studio) making a guest appearance.

Who Killed the Montreal Expos? [Netflix Original]

Netflix Canada premiere date: Tuesday, October 21

Genre: Romantic comedy

Runtime: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Directed by Quebec’s Jean-François Poisson, this documentary explores what ultimately led to the collapse of Canada’s first MLB team, the Montreal Expos. The film will feature interviews with Hall of Famers like Vladimir Guerrero, team manager Felipe Alou, journalist Tom Verducci and fans who were there at the time.

This film is based on the true story of a group of settlers on a remote island who discover their greatest threat is each other.

Eden was directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) and stars Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley), Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Daniel Brühl (Rush), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Ana de Armas (Knives Out).

M3GAN 2.0

Original theatrical release date: June 27, 2025

Prime Video Canada premiere date: Saturday, October 25

Genre: Sci-fi action

Gemma and Cady must begrudgingly work with M3GAN to combat a military robot planning an AI takeover.

M3GAN 2.0 features returning director Gerard Johnstone and stars Alison Williams, Violet McGraw, Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, with Ivanna Sakhno (Ahsoka) and Aristotle Athari (Saturday Night Live) joining the cast.
