Newly promoted Premier League side Sunderland continued in their fine form as they stunned the World Cup Club Champions, Chelsea to secure an amazing victory againsr the Blues.
Chelsea started the game like a house on fire with an early goal from Alejandro Garnacho in the first four minutes of the game which is also his firstt of many goals for Chelsea. However, Sunderland responded quickly, equalising in the 22nd minute through Wilson Isidor, who capitalised on a defensive lapse to fire past Robert Sánchez.
As the game wore on, Chelsea struggled to regain their rhythm, and frustration began to creep into their play. Sunderland, on the other hand, grew in confidence and continued to threaten on the counterattack which finally paid off deep into stoppage time when Chemsdine Talbi struck the decisive goal, sealing a famous win for the visitors.
The result leaves Chelsea fans frustrated, as the team once again failed to close out a match they had under control. For Sunderland, however, it marks another memorable moment in their impressive return to the Premier League.

When you are not good enough in the Premier League, the consequence can be a bad one. When you can’t win, it’s important you don’t lose. The second goal is not a transition, it’s a long ball and we don’t defend properly. The first goal is from a throw-in because they have six, seven or eight players in the box. It’s difficult. We were not good enough.”
The victory propels them up the table and sends a clear message that they are not in the top flight just to survive they are here to compete.
