It’s not summer without you. Jenny Han’s The Summer I Turned Pretty is back for its third and final season, and it’s been a roller coaster of a season so far. But don’t fret — we’re not finished with Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah yet.
The show is based on the book trilogy of the same name by Jenny Han, who has been executive producing the TV series. Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) starts the third season as an older, more mature college student. She’s eased into her relationship with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) with eyes toward their future. But nothing is ever so simple, and much drama ensues after Belly and Jeremiah announce their engagement, resulting in much trepidation from their families, including Conrad (Christopher Briney), Belly’s first love and Jeremiah’s older brother.
Han and others have been very tight-lipped about changes the final season may make compared to the third book, We’ll Always Have Summer. So even those of us who have read the book will have to tune in to see how Belly’s story comes to a close.
