CONCACAF announced its finalists for the 2024-25 Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards.
The U.S. men’s and women’s national teams were both represented on the 12-player finalist list, with six finalists being named for each award.
Malik Tillman was named a finalist for the Men’s Player of the Year award while Lindsey Heaps and Emily Fox were named finalists for the Women’s Player of the Year award.
Tillman enjoyed a productive summer at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, scoring three goals for the USMNT. He helped Mauricio Pochettino’s squad reach the tournament final before suffering a loss to Mexico.
At club level, Tillman helped PSV retain the Eredivisie title in dramatic fashion, scoring 12 goals en route to being named to the Team of the Season. He later joined Bayer Leverkusen in a permanent deal from the Dutch giants.
Heaps helped the USWNT win the Gold Medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, starting and captaining the side in all six matches. In France, Heaps won the French top-flight title with Lyon and was nominated 2025 UNFP Team of the Year.
Her eight assists in league play for Lyon ranked as the most in the division.
Fox also joined Heaps in starting in all six of the USWNT’s Olympic matches last summer. At her club Arsenal, Fox helped the Gunners win the UEFA W Champions League title and was later named to the tournament’s Best XI.
She also was nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
