Justin Trudeau’s oldest son has dropped his first single as the dark R&B artist Xav.
The lead single, Til The Nights Done is already live on Apple Music and Spotify. The music video is slated to drop at 4:30p.m. on Friday.
Given Trudeau’s Ottawa residence and the artist’s 17-year-old age, it’s not a stretch to see influences from Ottawa musicians like Night Lovell, but the low-key moody music will ultimately draw the majority of comparisons to Drake, and his OVO music label. His label says he’s been inspired by Drkae, Don Toliver and Post Malone.
A CTV News report says that his younger sister, Ella-Grace Trudeau, also added additional background vocals to the track.
