UFC fans are not happy with the latest main event announcement from the promotion as they head into their post-PPV era next year.
The first two shows of 2026 and their $7.7billion deal were enough to have some die-hards considering a boycott. UFC 324 will be the launch of the new Paramount+ broadcast partnership, and is headlined by an interim lightweight title fight between Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje.
While that fight is mildly controversial given the former’s lack of legitimate wins at the weight, it was the rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes that was booked for UFC 325 that really enraged them. And now reactions are looking similar to the news of who is headlining UFC 326.
Who is Paddy Pimblett? Get to know the ‘baddy’ of MMA who is making his presence felt in UFCMax Holloway and Charles Oliveira make surprise rematch announcement for UFC 326Tonight’s UFC Season Press conference was their first in a couple of years, and details were kept under wraps until the show itself. Stars from UFC 325 and UFC 324 were on stage, but the big surprise was the announcement of a main event for UFC 326, which takes place on March 7 at the T-Mobile Arena.
Do you think this is a good main event for UFC 326? Are Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira still top level draws, or is this a cheap main event from the UFC?

The promotion confirmed that back at the famed arena for the second time in the year, the show will be headlined by a BMF title fight between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira. The Hawaiian is still BMF champion despite his loss to Ilia Topuria last year, and defended the belt against Dustin Poirier in July.
Oliveira and Holloway are both former world champions, and actually fought one another earlier in their careers. They were both featherweights when they met at a 2015 Fight Night, with the Hawaiian winning by TKO.
Fans are not happy with the UFC 326 main eventWhile there was a commonly held belief that this announcement marked an improvement from a Dana White Instagram Live video, fans were not impressed with the matchmaking. The BMF title is decidedly not a legitimate belt, and it is viewed as a cheap excuse for headlining a show with a lesser fight.

“Two dog washed fighters, UFC has fallen off a cliff,” one fan wrote on X underneath the official announcement. “Dana White, just retire please…” Another complained that “they’re really trying to normalize BMF main events.”
One fan asked “Why would this be a main event on a numbered card? That’s not even a real title.” While another added “Don’t care, both are washed as f—.”
