Will 2025 be the year of ultra-thin phones?
A video showing an alleged dummy unit of Apple’s much-rumoured iPhone 17 Air surfaced online.
Leaker Majin Bu posted the video on X/Twitter on July 8. It showcases what Bu claims is a dummy unit for the iPhone 17 Air in black. The alleged 17 Air sports the ultra-thin design that aligns with previous leaks about the model.

The video shows just how thin the Air 17 is, especially when compared with previous leaks showing the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The 17 Pro Max is noticeably bulkier and includes the standard triple-lens camera we’ve come to know. The 17 Air, as the name suggests, is designed to be lighter and thinner. It only uses a single-lens camera but still shares the full-width camera bar that the 17 Pro Max also has.
Rumours have also suggested that a Sky Blue colorway will be available for the iPhone 17 Air, so we could see more leaks showcasing these new colours leading up to the expected debut in September. We’ve already seen a concept showing what the iPhone 17 Air could look like in purple.
