A Nigerian woman has cried out after allegedly losing a gold shipment worth millions of naira because of a false delivery claim by international courier company FedEx.
In a video that has gone viral, the distraught woman tearfully recounted how she invested a substantial amount of money to purchase gold from Dubai. She was informed via email that the parcel had been delivered, even though she never received it.
“I ordered gold worth millions of naira from Dubai. I was expecting FedEx to deliver it, but suddenly I received a notification saying the gold had been delivered, yet I haven’t received anything,” she said while sobbing.
She appealed to fellow Nigerians and the online community to help hold FedEx accountable for what she described as a deeply traumatising situation.
According to her, multiple attempts to resolve the issue have yielded no result, with the courier company maintaining that the delivery was successful.
“Please help me call out FedEx. They said I received my gold, but I didn’t. I haven’t seen anything. This is not fair. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat,” she cried in the video.
