WWE Superstar JD McDonagh announced early Tuesday morning they he will miss some time after suffering multiple injuries during Monday night’s episode of Raw.
McDonagh posted on X that he will be out “for a couple months” due to “a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung.”

In the midst of a World Tag Team Championship match pitting the Judgment Day’s McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio against the War Raiders, McDonagh was on the wrong end of a scary spot.
He attempted to hit Ivar with a springboard moonsault from the apron to the outside of the ring, but after glancing off Ivar, McDonagh smacked into the announce table.
It appeared as though his neck or upper back snapped back violently upon making contact with the desk.
Play-by-play announcer Michael Cole expressed genuine concern for McDonagh and the referee checked on his well-being, but McDonagh somehow managed to finish the match, which was won by the War Raiders.
McDonagh, 34, first arrived in WWE under the name Jordan Devlin in 2016, competing in the tournament to crown the inaugural United Kingdom Championship.
He went on to wrestle in NXT UK and then NXT where he held the Cruiserweight Championship on one occasion.
McDonagh got called up to the main roster in 2023 and it wasn’t long before he joined forces with his longtime friend and fellow Irishman Finn Bálor as part of the Judgment Day.
Bálor and McDonagh held the World Tag Team Championships together for 175 days before dropping them to the War Raiders last month.
While McDonagh was fortunate to avoid an even more serious injury, he has unfortunately landed on the shelf during the most important time of the year for WWE.
McDonagh will not be able to compete at Saturday’s Royal Rumble premium live event, and it isn’t yet clear if he will be able to make it back in time for WrestleMania 41, which will take place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20.
