Xbox will hold another Developer_Direct presentation on Thursday, January 23rd at 10am PT/1pm ET.
Introduced in 2023, the Developer_Direct offers deep dives into a few major Xbox games featuring the developers behind them. Xbox says this next Developer_Direct will feature Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Sandfall Interactive), Doom: The Dark Ages (id Software) and South of Midnight (Montreal’s Compulsion Games). We don’t have specific release timing for any of these games beyond “2025,” so it’s possible we’ll get narrower windows (if not actual dates) during the Developer_Direct.
Interestingly, Xbox also teased that the show will “visit a surprise location to see another studio’s brand-new game.” It remains to be seen what this might be. The debut Developer_Direct surprised everyone with the reveal and same-day launch of Hi-Fi Rush, while last year’s show featured the first-ever Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gameplay, among other titles.
The Developer_Direct will be streamed on Xbox’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
