Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti has put an end to the speculations that he could be leaving the Bernabeu at the end of this season.
Carlo Ancelotti was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against Salzburg. According to the Italian, he has no plan to leave Real Madrid anytime soon despite the rumor going on in the media.
What did Ancelotti say about his future at Real Madrid?”I want to be very clear: I will never decide when I have to leave Real Madrid, it’s not myself deciding. It will never be myself deciding when to leave Real Madrid. I have absolutely not decided to leave Real Madrid, I hope to stay for four more years, same as president Florentino Pérez. That would be perfect in order to do a big farewell together in 2029!”.
Real Madrid are top of LaLiga, two points clear of Atletico Madrid and seven ahead of Barcelona, and have won two trophies this season which include, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Ancelotti will hope they can turn things around in the UEFA Champions League having just secured nine points in his first six games of the season.
They host Salzburg at the Bernabéu with a top-eight finish which would give them a direct progression to the knockout stage already looking unlikely, with nine points
