Sports fans have plenty to look forward to in February, with the upcoming calendar packed with a plethora of top-class sports events.
North American sports will garner plenty of headlines as the NFL stages the prestigious Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
The race to reach the Stanley Cup play-offs will continue apace in the NHL, while the NBA campaign is also hurtling towards its post-season action.
Sports bettors will undoubtedly be searching for the Goliath Flag Bet in the hope of finding useful angles for wagering on top-class games.
The platform also has numerous other resources including a comprehensive football section, which will be extremely useful to followers of the Premier League.
With that in mind, read on as we look at five must-watch Premier League games in February 2025, starting with a blockbuster clash at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal vs Manchester City – February 2
Arsenal and Manchester City have been inconsistent during the first half of the season, which has left them playing catch up in the title race.
There is still time for them to overhaul table-topping Liverpool, but they cannot afford any more slip-ups during the remainder of the campaign.
A victory for either side in this fixture would be a major statement of intent and boost their chances of keeping themselves in the title race.
Everton vs Liverpool – February 12
The rearranged Merseyside derby has the potential to be a banana skin for Liverpool, particularly given recent events at Goodison Park.
Everton’s decision to appoint David Moyes for his second stint as manager could be the catalyst for the club to surge up the Premier League table.
The Toffees triumphed 2-0 in the corresponding fixture last season and a repeat of that result would be a major blow to Liverpool’s title hopes.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United – February 16
The clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on February 16 could be billed as the ‘battle of the Premier League’s biggest underachievers.’
Both clubs went into the season with their sights set on a top four finish but are struggling to stay in contention for European qualification.
A surge in the second half of the season is not beyond the realms of possibility, but they need to improve sooner rather than later.
Manchester City vs Liverpool – February 23
Man City will view their February fixtures as an opportunity to remind everyone why they have won the title in each of the last four seasons.
Injuries and a dip in form from several key players has left them lagging behind the top teams, but they are perfectly capable of stringing together a long unbeaten run.
Defeating Liverpool could be the statement result they need to force their way back into contention and place doubt in the minds of the current table-toppers.
Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal – February 25
Nottingham Forest have been the surprise package in the Premier League this season and Champions League qualification is not beyond them.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has got them well organised defensively, while their ability to hit teams on the counter-attack has proved to be an effective weapon.
Given Forest will be gunning for revenge after losing 3-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates in November, this game should be well worth watching.
